This is the 21st in the delightful Agatha Raisin series. I eagerly await each new book about this private detective who lives in the Cotswolds in the village of Carsley and has her own agency. Agatha is a wonderful character, a woman of a certain age, who wonders how men could age gracefully, but women in their fifties battle a spreading waistline and a battle against lost looks. Agatha investigates the murder of an agent of the Health and Safety Board who has made himself unpopular by declaring such things as the Christmas tree on top of the church to be a public menace. When Agent John Sunday is murdered with a kitchen knife, Agatha springs into action to solve still another murder. This is one of the better books in the series.
