After the Fire, a Still Small Voice is a very good, well-written story that takes place in Australia. There are two narratives--one takes place in the present and one takes place in the 1960s. In the present, we have Frank, a man who has just broken up with a girlfriend and has returned to his family's shack in the forest to sort out his life. In the past, we have Leon, a teenage boy trying to make it through his teen years in one piece.
